Job Description: 
As a Drafting Team Manager, you'll lead a high-performing team of drafters and design professionals who are shaping the next generation of modular buildings. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our designs align with project specifications, support efficient manufacturing processes, and exceed client expectations. This is more than a management role - it's a chance to drive innovations, build a collaborative team culture, and make real impact in a growing company redefining how buildings come to life.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
   1. Manage, coach, and mentor a talented team of drafters.
   2. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
   3. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback and development plans.
2. Drive Design Excellence
   1. Oversee the creation and review of modular building drafts and blueprints.
   2. Ensure all designs meet quality, regulatory, and client standards.
   3. Approve and revise drafts as needed to maintain consistency and precision.
3. Manage Projects and Priorities
   1. Oversee drafting schedules and workflows to meet project timelines and production goals.
   2. Coordinate with production, business development, and engineering teams to resolute technical and design challenges efficiently. 
4. Improve Processes and Ensure Quality
   1. Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices for drafting and documentation. 
   2. Ensure consistent quality control across all drafting deliverable
5. Promote Collaboration Across Teams
   1. Serve as the main point of contact between the drafting team and internal departments.
   2. Facilitate clear, consistent communication to ensure alignment and avoid design bottlenecks.
6. Stay Ahead of the Curve
   1. Keep the team proficient in industry-standard tools like Procure (or similar).
   2. Encourage the adoption of new technologies, techniques, and design trends in modular construction.

• 5+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or related drafting environments.
• 5+ years of proven team leadership experience in a results-driven setting.
• Strong understanding of modular construction and building code compliance.
• Proficiency in Procore or other professional drafting/design platforms.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and project management skills.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for solving complex design challenges.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to engage in hands-on process development.
